East Youth Football

East Youth Football

Youth football begins registration in April of the prior school year with practices beginning in early August. If you have a son or daughter that will be in 3rd - 6th grade in the fall they will be playing football, you can register them to play.

The Black Raider Football program provides helmet, jersey (top and pants), and pads. Parents need to provide a mouth guard and proper cleats. Other accessories may be worn (gloves, etc) but are not required.

3rd & 4th Grade

Third and fourth grades play padded flag football. This give our youngest athletes the opportunity to learn the rules and skills they need to be successful, to practice these skills, without adding the tackle component to the game.

5th & 6th Grade

Our fifth and sixth grade athletes move into tackle play, building skills on the skills they have learned in prior years. Each year adds a new component of play, such as introducing kicking. These years help to prepare our athletes to move into the school football program in seventh grade. The high school and middle school coaches are frequently seen at these practices and games.
